having literally knit her fingers to the bone to finish her jaywalkers in time for sunday knitsmiths, dana needed prosthetic limbs to replace her mangled hands. unfortunately a mix-up on ebay resulted in these new limbs. ever the optimist, dana exclaimed, "well you'll all get to see these socks plenty now. i think i'll keep these new feet for hands".

In the exuberance of finishing her jaywalkers, Dana passed out on the floor, yet she was still able to keep her feet up for all to admire.

Two seconds after Dana flaunted her socks, witnesses proclaimed seeing pigs flying across the vast Brookline sky.

Anna, i think that blog would be too depressing for us well-versed in dating disasters.

but if you're looking for a partner in woe, you never have to look further than me!!

caption: "At last, the jaywalkers are done! and just in time for sandal weather" (you know how good socks and sandals look.)"

For those of us who have given up on dating, we really do need your tales of woe to remind us why we're home alone.

The gypsy woman warned Dana of the Curse of the Jaywalkers. Dana obediently tried to ward off the curse as long as she could, knitting the socks all day and then unraveling them at night. But all Dana's efforts were foiled--the curse was even more powerful than she had suspected. Whether it was the constricting nature of the socks, the shock of having finished them, the sugar rush of one too many pieces of baklava, or the dreaded curse itself that struck that Sunday, we'll probably never know . . .

"Hey, these cover the part of my legs I don't bother shaving. Perfect!"

And she'll be wearing them all summer to cover her fuzzy ankles so all we see are shiny shaven shins......
